Veteran Journalist Jay Sonza Reveals Who Authorize To Secure The Arrested Drug Queen Near Malacanang Palace

Netizens were alarmed after the news came out that the daughter of convicted drug dealer Yu Yuk Lai, identified as Diana Yu Uy who’s living in a condominium unit near Malacañang Palace was caught with millions of pesos worth of illegal drugs.

From the condominium unit of Uy, the supposed illegal drugs were transported to the jail of her mother at the Correctional Institute for Women (CIW)

Uy managed to sneak illegal drugs into the CIW because she has a special VIP access for being one of the contracted suppliers for the catering facilities of the prison.

But the issue became more controversial after the authorities discovered that Uy was being guarded by cops from the Police Security and Protection Group (PSPG)

During the operation, a cop identified as Police Officer 3 Walter Vidad was nabbed by authorities.

Aside from Uy and Vidad, two other employees were arrested by the PDEA agents.

PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino also claimed that UY attempted to bribe PDEA agents with P5-M.

“Bakit siya magaaregalo sa amin kung planted ‘yan?” Aquino said.

Veteran journalist Jay Sonza gave more information about this controversial issue and revealed the people who authorized the security given to the daughter of the convicted drug lord.

Sonza claimed that the police bodyguard of Uy were authorize by the Aquino government to secure the arrested drug queen, not by the Duterte administration.

He told his followers that they must be informed that Uy enjoyed the security detail since former President Aquino’s time and former Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Mar Roxas.

This is his whole post:

let us set the record straight. the police bodyguard of the arrested drug queen near the palace were detailed in 2013 during the time of interior secretary mar roxas. they were authorize by the aquino government to secure the lady. not during the time of duterte. they were discovered only during the raid by pdea and yes they were discovered during the time of duterte.

dapat maliwanag ito sa lahat. sila ay nadistino para maging guwardiya/bodyguard ng drug queen 2013 pa. president si pinoy at dilg sec. si roxas at may final say sa deployment ng mga pulis.

KLARO NA BA!

However, according to PNP-PSPG head Chief Superintendent Joel Crisostomo Garcia, Uy is said to renew her request for security every six months.

“The request is renewable every six months so dadaan sa same process, she has to apply for the availment of police security personnel, she has to submit application letter and affidavit that she is under threat,” Garcia said.

PSPG’s mandate is to provide security and protection to national government officials, foreign dignitaries and certain private individuals approved by the PNP.

““The request is renewable every six months so dadaan sa same process, she has to apply for the availment of police security personnel, she has to submit application letter and affidavit that she is under threat,” Garcia said.”

Garcia also said that his office was unaware that Uy is a daughter of a convicted drug lord.

“After the request of Uy, what we did is we request for an assessment to be conducted by the Directorate for Intelligence to determine if there was imminent danger in her life based on..kidnap victim kasi siya at that time,” Garcia said..

Uy and her sister Joann were kidnapped on May 21, 2006 in an establishment along Shaw Boulevard.

Garcia said that Uy doesn’t have any criminal background when he first applied for police security in 2010. Her request was granted in 2014 during Aquino administration.

Because of what happened, the PSPG would amend its policy and would conduct a stricter background check on those individuals requesting security from them.
